# Company Overview

# Headlines

Hitmarker was launched from Newcastle upon Tyne, England in May 2017 as the solution to the hiring problem in esports. At that time esports was a very new but burgeoning segment of the video game industry that had an extremely fragmented jobs market and an immature approach to human resources and recruitment.

• We took market share from our competitors early on in our existence by being more cosmetically attractive and more user-friendly than them. We continue to take market share from our competitors to this day by having a bigger candidate database and more active esports jobs than any of them.

• Our company also places great stock in having a technological advantage by being the only custom-built hiring solution in esports. We maintain a user experience advantage by providing the "cleanest" and most easy-to-use platform in the space, along with offering top-class customer service and having a unique and much-loved "voice" on social media.

# What problem is Hitmarker solving?

Hitmarker is the solution to the hiring problem in esports.

Before we created our platform there was no definitive source of esports jobs for esports job hunters or hiring companies online, with the industry's hiring scene spread across social media, poor quality endemic jobs websites, and the more traditional non-endemic jobs websites. Whether people were looking for jobs or to hire staff, they were required to register for accounts on multiple websites to manage their search or hiring process.

Hitmarker brings accountability and visibility to esports hiring, which hasn't existed previously.

In mid-2017 esports was such a new, burgeoning industry that the concept of a traditional jobs board was not truly known until we launched. Until Hitmarker the majority of hiring in esports occurred through social media posts, most often on Twitter, and allowed for something of a “Wild West” feel to the recruitment process.

People on the fringes of the industry typically associated esports with volunteer-based work too in the absence of a formalized place to find legitimate careers. Since our inception, we have regularly made a point of debunking this myth.

# How is it solving the problem?

Hitmarker was initially seen as the solution to the esports hiring problem because our website was more cosmetically attractive and easier to use than those of our competitors at the time.

Our "crosshair" esports-centric (endemic) branding, which is incredibly important in this particular industry, also helped people to quickly realise the authenticity of the service and identify with the company mission.

These days Hitmarker is known as the website where companies can find more esports candidates than anywhere else, and where candidates can find more esports jobs than anywhere else.

Our unique approach to customer service and the transparency of our social media content also sets us apart from the competition, along with the following:

# TECHNOLOGY

We have a custom-built, mobile-friendly esports jobs board that is very easy to use and offers more esports job opportunities than any other website available online.

It is intentionally fast-loading and lightweight, allowing users to find what they’re looking for as quickly as possible.

# CONTENT

On the website we have an archive of free and easy-to-digest esports career advice and recruitment articles aimed at younger candidates, those candidates who are struggling to get anywhere in the hiring process due to poor application materials, and young companies who are new to hiring.

On our social media accounts we post visually appealing content each day of the week, which often makes use of our proprietary data.

# MARKETING

We have a strong SEO strategy, targeted paid ads to cover for the few remaining deficiencies in said strategy, and an outstanding approach to social media, most evidently on Twitter where the esports industry truly “lives”.

It would genuinely be very difficult to find anybody - candidate or company - who would have a negative word to say about the Hitmarker brand.

# FOR COMPANIES

We solve a company’s most painful problem of knowing where to advertise their esports job by providing the largest esports-specific candidate database in the world, for free.

They can choose to handle applications through our site, their own ATS, or through email.

This freedom of choice keeps companies coming back to hire with us time and time again.

# FOR CANDIDATES

We solve a candidate’s most painful problem of knowing where to find esports jobs by posting more industry-specific jobs than any other website online and being more open and approachable than any other jobs website around.

There are numerous examples of candidates we have put forward for roles getting their “dream job” in esports after our assistance, and most are very public with their thanks to us.
